Pricing
What does a WordPress website cost?
A company website built with WordPress usually costs between €1,800 and €3,500 with me. A one-page website starts at around €1,000. After a short initial call you receive a fixed price that does not change as long as the scope stays the same.
On this page you can see how the price is made up, what typical projects cost and which running costs to expect.
Prices at a glance.
| Project | Scope | Price |
|---|---|---|
| One-page website | One page with several sections, contact form | from around €1,000 |
| Company website | Several subpages, e.g. services, about us, references, contact | usually €1,800 to €3,500 |
| Relaunch | New website including transfer of the existing content | from around €2,500, depending on scope |
| Maintenance | Updates, backups, monitoring | from €49 per month |
The price includes a clean, individual layout based on your logo and colours. A fully bespoke design with several drafts is quoted separately. All prices exclude VAT. For businesses in the EU the reverse charge procedure applies. You will find details in the FAQ on the homepage.
Price factors
What drives the price.
Number and type of pages
A service page with text and images is quick to build. Pages with custom layouts, tables or filters take more time.
Design
A clean layout based on your logo and colours is included in the price. If you already have a design in Figma or Adobe XD, I build it. A fully bespoke design with several drafts is quoted separately.
Features
A contact form, map and image gallery are standard. Multiple languages, appointment booking, job listings with filters or connections to other systems increase the effort.
Content
If texts and images are ready, things move fastest. On request I write the copy for your website. It is based on a conversation in which you tell me about your services, customers and what sets you apart. The result is clear, factual page copy that also takes the search terms of your industry into account. Copywriting is quoted in addition to the fixed price for the build.
Multiple languages
A second language does not mean double the cost, but every page has to be set up and checked. Depending on scope, expect a surcharge of around 20 to 30 %.
Examples
Three examples.
The following examples are typical projects. Your quote depends on your specific scope.
One-page website for a trade business
around €1,200
One page with introduction, services, reference images, process and contact form. Logo and colours are in place, the business supplies texts and photos. Online after about two to three weeks.
Company website for an engineering firm
around €2,800
Eight subpages: home, three service pages, references, about us, careers, contact. Custom theme with Gutenberg, content you can edit yourself in the editor, introduction by video. Online after about six weeks.
Relaunch of an existing website
around €3,500
Around 15 pages are moved to a new design. This includes transferring and checking the content and redirecting the old URLs so that existing Google rankings are kept.
Running costs
Running costs after launch.
In addition to the one-off price there are running costs. Ideally these are in your company’s name, so you stay independent.
Later changes to content or features are billed separately based on effort.
- Hosting: for a company website usually around €5 to €20 per month
- Domain: usually around €10 to €20 per year
- Licences: With Gutenberg there are no licence fees for a page builder. Elementor Pro and Divi charge an annual or one-off fee. You will find a comparison with current costs here: Gutenberg, Elementor or Divi compared
- Maintenance: optional, from €49 per month. Includes updates for WordPress, theme and plugins, regular backups and uptime monitoring.
Fixed price
Why a fixed price.
With a fixed price you know what the website costs before the project starts. I carry the risk of a misjudgement, not you. The precondition is a clearly defined scope. If new requests come up during the project, I discuss them with you before any additional costs arise.
Price level
Why prices are below agency level.
You work directly with the developer, without project management, sales and an office in between. I bring more than 12 years of agency experience and build websites for businesses and agencies in Germany and across Europe. The lower price comes from less overhead, not less quality.
How you get your quote.
- You briefly describe your project via the contact form.
- In an initial video call we clarify scope, features and timeline.
- You receive a written quote with a fixed price and a description of the work.
The initial call is free of obligation.
